Well-being/Executive Coaching
“If you don’t have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?”
— NCAA Coach John Wooden
Why Employee Well-being matters
We live in rapidly changing and uncertain times. The global pandemic and choices thousands of
employees made to leave their jobs (known as the great resignation) sent a powerful message to
organizations. Employees value their quality of life and work-life integration They were prepared to
leave they felt lacked purpose, or stressful jobs that adversely affected health and well-being.
Forward thinking organizations understand these winds of change, and the importance of retaining a
talented workforce to keep their competitive edge.
Be a forward-thinking, proactive company
Such organizations demonstrate their commitment to employee well-being by being proactive and
addressing the stressors of today’s post-pandemic environment. Research shows that companies that
are committed to employee well-being have a happier, more engaging, productive and resilient
workforce.
Through well-being coaching, employees can handle change more effectively and are more likely to
remain with the company. A McKinsey report showed that over 50% of employees believe that mental
health is a top challenge , but only one in six reports feeling supported. Yet, as Liz Hilton Segal, a
managing partner for McKinsey North America points out, “a better future is possible when businesses
help [employees] build the skills for wellbeing.”
When well-being flourishes in your organization, your workforce experiences greater health, happiness, and prosperity.
